Daqing Ditch is a green ravine in the desert in Inner Mongolia China. It is a National Nature Reserve because of the Unique landscape and well-preserved ancient
plants. People like go there to feel the nature and Mongolia culture. I
went there by bus, 5 hours from Shenyang to Daqing Ditch, and it was a two days
trip.
It is not a very expensive place to
visit, 300Yuan for two days, it included transport, meals, and
accommodation, but it is the price 5 years ago. You don't need bring too
much money with you, because when you be there you will find there is
no place to spent your money.
There are a lot of activities to
do,drifting, horse riding, visit the Yurts or go to the underground
forest and so on. The most popular one is horse riding. The Mongolian
horses are very famous in the world.So it is a chance to let you know
what the horses had been ridden by the greatest king Genghis Khan are like.Let me tell you why Daqing Ditch is called Desert
Oasis. When you go to the underground forest, you will be shaken by the
landscape. It is the most amazing place I have ever been, many
different kinds of trees which may older than your great great grand
parents, and some of them you can't name, birds, tracks, creeks, all of
them are in the desert.
Many
hotels there but the best hotel is only 3 stars. Or you can rent a room
from the local people, it is not very good ether but is can be very
cheap, it is around 30yuan/night. Also you can have meals with them, it
is cheap too if you are lucky they may let you have some beef jerky milk tea or horse-milk wine. Don't forget to buy some beef jerky, it is quiet expensive, 120yuan/kg but I love it! It is so delicious! I bough 4 kg beef jerky home and it is the only thing you can take home.
I had so much fun over there the Mongolian people was so friendly, everyone would want to go back to Daqing Ditch again if they have been there.
Don't forget bring your camera, the other thing you could take back your home is the recollection of the Desert Oasis.
